Refund policy

1. Donation Purpose & Use

All contributions to the Hope Gail Foundation are used to support grief counseling, workshops, training, events, and programs. We are on a mission to transform heartbreak into healing for grieving families and loved ones.

2. Donation Methods

We gratefully accept donations via our secure online platform, recurring monthly giving, checks, and donor-advised funds. Upon receipt, donors are provided with an email confirmation.

3. Refund Policy

  • Generally Non‑Refundable
    All donations are considered final and non-refundable. Once received, funds are committed to direct client services and operational programs.

  • Refund Exceptions
    Refunds may be granted at the Foundation’s discretion under limited circumstances, such as:

    • A duplicate donation made in error.

    • A donation made using incorrect payment information.

    • A large gift that cannot be processed due to system or banking errors.

    Requests must:

    • Be submitted in writing within 15 days of the donation.

    • Include the date, amount, and method of donation.

    • Include the donor’s contact information for verification.

  • How to Request a Refund
    Please email refunds@hopegail.org with the subject line “Donation Refund Request” and include:

    • Your full name

    • Donation date

    • Amount

    • Payment method

    • Brief description of the situation

    Our team will respond within 7 business days. If approved, refunds will be issued via the original payment method within 10–15 business days.

4. Recurring Donations

If you’re a monthly donor, you may pause or cancel your recurring donation at any time by contacting us at donations@hopegail.org or through your online donor portal. Any donations already processed before cancellation are non‑refundable, except in rare error cases as noted above.

5. Gift Acknowledgments

All donations automatically receive an email confirmation. 

6. Transparency & Accountability

You may view our Impact Report and financial statements upon request. Every contribution helps fund the counseling, care, and community services we provide—including grants, support groups, and our Wall of Light memorials.
